Overview

Sequences are similar to functions but work off a discrete domain  or  the natural numbers. Quadratic - qaudratic; arithmetic - linear; geometric - exponential function.

Before you take on this lecture cover Functions Overview and review your grade11 work. Otherwise its pretty much a stand alone section. Examiners usually tell you if you are dealing with a Quadratic Sequence, but they do want you to determine the difference between an Arithmetic Sequence and a Geometric Sequence.

Students - Keep with the notation of T for an element and Sn for a sum or series. Learn the formulas on the info sheet

Instructors, Teachers, Manager - Sequences and Series is 25 Marks out of 150. Its a must for a distinction. Recognizing the difference between Arithmetic and geometric is the key skill. The rest comes from the information sheet.
